Senior Friendly Visits

Our volunteers regularly visit seniors at home or in senior living communities. This program began in response to many requests from seniors, their families, and care facilities who wished for more opportunities to speak in Japanese. Connecting through a shared language provides comfort, familiarity, and a sense of belonging. For our volunteers, these visits are also joyful and meaningful moments of connection.

Please Note: We do our best to accommodate all requests. In cases where we receive many requests, priority will be given to those with higher need. Thank you for your understanding.

Senior Social Gathering 'Wa' Group

This is a friendly gathering where seniors come together to enjoy conversation in Japanese with one another and with volunteers. Participants share personal updates, hobbies, and everyday life information in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The group typically meets with around 10 participants.
